The 30 Day Diet Intervention

Obese man - fat loss intervention

Read on to discover 3 simple principles you can follow for 30 days that will help you lose 4-8 lbs of fat and kill your sugar cravings…

There’s something of a revolution happening in the diet industry right now.

A set of eating principles once thought of as ‘a fad’ and ‘not something that would last’ seem to be taking hold.

Instead of being comfined to the lives a few extremists, more and more people are adopting a way of eating that breaks the cycle of yo-yo dieting, kills sugar cravings dead, helps you lose 1-2 lbs of fat per week, can be adopted for life, and you don’t ever have to feel hungry.

Back To Basics

These eating strategies (sometimes know as Primal or Paleo diets , but they are just names given to variations of the theme) are based on the assumption that over the millions of years (5-7 million years depending on how you count) man has evolved an intrecate survival mechanism – one that works to keep us alive and in optimal physical condition based on foods that were the most readily avaliable.

In other words, man has evolved the hormones, metabolic pathways and digestive system that is optimised for eating plenty of meat (wild animals roaming on the plains, fish in the sea), vegetables (plants, vegetation), fruits (berries that grew on bushes and trees in particular) and nuts and seeds (again, found on bushes and trees).

Eating these types of foods keeps your body happy, helps build muscle, and ensures you stay lean and agile so you can run from predators.

Compare that to today’s diet where we eat significant amounts of sugar and grains (bread, rice, pasta). The USDA even recommends we eat 6-11 servings of grains per day – roughly 45-65% of daily calorie intake.

These processed food stuffs have only been in our diets for at most a few thousand years.

Let’s say that sugar was discovered and started being introduced into foods in 1000BC – roughly 3,000 years ago (it was actually more likely around 500BC but I’m using 1000BC just in case).

3,000 years is about 0.04-0.06% of the 5-7 million years man has been evolving.

In evolutionary terms that is NOTHING. There is no way our bodies can adapt that fast.

The result – we are stuffing ourselves with foods that the body was not designed for, and is not effective at dealing with. Foods that are lacking in nutrients and vitamins, along with protein and healthy fats.

We live in a culture where fat is considered the devil. So what do food companies do? They line the supermarket shelves with low-fat products – products that they have added SUGAR in order to make them taste nice because all the fat has been taken out.

Sugar is arch enemy number one if you want to lose fat. Dr. Lustig even goes as far to suggest that sugar should be classified as a poison due to the number of health issues it causes. And yet every year we stuff ourself with more and more of the substance.

Sugar consumption and death rate

The correlation between sugar intake and death rates seem exceptionally well correlated.

We are literally living in a society that is conspiriing against us, one that will forever make us fatter and more unhealtly.

If you continue to follow the advice of most doctors and the governments we will die an early death. You will become fatter. You will be more prone to disease. Your healthy will deteriorate much faster than it should.

It’s time for a…

30 Day Diet Intervention

This challenge may be the most important you ever do. If you follow my guidelines, you will get the following benefits in just 30 days.

  • Lose 4-8 lbs of fat
  • Have significantly reduced sugar cravings
  • Have plenty of energy with no ‘crashes’ in the afternoon
  • Feel more alive
  • Have an improved bloodwork profile
  • Formation of healthy habits that will help break the yo-yo dieting cycle

The 3 principles

There are just 3 simple principles you need to follow.

1. Eliminate sugar

Do not eat any sugar. That means no soft drinks, no adding sugar to tea or coffee, no eating foods with added sugar.

Check everything you buy to see if sugar has been added. If it has then put it back. 90% of foods in the supermarket do have sugar added, even ones you wouldn’t suspect so be careful.

High fructose corn syrup is another form of sugar, so don’t eat foods with that in it either.

If you see a food labelled low-fat then walk away. Chances are it has sugar added, and you need fat in your diet anyway.

I suggest you also eliminate milk as it contains lactose. Whilst lactose is not sugar per say, it can elevate insulin levels and again, our bodies have not evolved to handle it – hence why so many people are lactose intolerant.

2. Eliminate grains and starchy carbs

Do not eat any grains. That inculdes bread, pasta, rice, bagels, potatoes. It doesn’t matter if it is whole grain or not, you weren’t designed to eat it.

If you play lots or sports and are worried about not having enough energy – don’t. Nuts are extermely calorie dense. Once your body realises it isn’t getting as much glucose or sucrose as before, it will become more efficient at mobilising fat for energy. This is how your body LOVES and WANTS to operate. However, it may take some time to revert back to this state, since you’ve been stuffing yourself with crap all your life.

3. Increase your protein and fat

By eliminating sugar and grains, you’ve will have cut your caloires by anything from 40-65% (if you have been following a typicl unhealthy Western diet).

To counteract this drop, you should increase your protein and fat intake. That means eating more eggs, fish, chicken, beef, turkey – and meat really (ideally it should be organic). These foods contain plenty of protein, and provide the saturated fat you need in your diet.

Again, check packets before you eat. Pre-cooked chicken pieces here in the UK often have sugar added to them.

Also eat nuts, seeds, olive oil, avocado and fish oil. These foods contain healthly poly and mono-unsaturated fats essential to life. Omega-3 in particular is something that a typical Western diet is low in, yet our bodies need it.

Getting started

Don’t be tempted to put this off. You should start today. I suggest you go cold turkey and throw yourself into it with vigour.

A warning – the first few days will be rough. Your body will resent you for taking away it’s primary energy supply.

Like a drug addict, you will have to go through the withdrawl process. You may experience a lack of energy, headaches, nausea. You will have cravings for sweet stuff. This is perfectly normal and expected.

You will have cravings for sweet stuff. You MUST work through it.

I promise after 4-7 days your body will have learnt to use fatty acids rather than glucose and sucrose for energy, and you will be feeling fantastic.

To Good To Be True

Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?

By following just 3 rules you can build muscle, lose fat, curb cravings and generally look amazing naked.

You are right to be sceptical. The diet industry makes millions coming up with new ways to tempt you out of your money.

But nonetheless, I am not selling you anthing. You can read this article for free. The only thing I have to gain is winning your trust when you try my recommendations, discover you can get the body of your dreams, and then return to my blog.

When you switch to a diet low in sugar and starchy carbs, high in protein and fat, you discover that losing fat is pretty damn easy. In fact, I’ve never experienced a way of eating that I can really see myself doing for life.

Do yourself a favour and impose a back to nature diet intervention on yourself. Your heath depends on it.
